I have just completed my 4 dines with Skymiles for a bonus 1,500 Skymiles (2,000 Skymiles if you had not enrolled prior to the bonus offering) which is to end on 7/15/05.
I am aware of the "10 miles per Dine bonus" that one will receive for various FF programs if you dine a certain number of times before the close of 2005, but I thought it might be a good idea for us to centralize the various bonuses that the airlines and other Idine participants (Holiday Inn?) have that are separate and apart from the "10 miles per Dine bonus."
Having completed this Delta bonus, my question is this: Are there any other bonuses that are presently running similar to the Delta bonus??
Thanks -- and good eating!

So for the promotions that do NOT include a minimum spend, can you really just buy a coke or something and that counts as a "meal"? Assuming the establishment doesn't have a minimum charge to use a credit card. Thanks.

I am so glad the AA promo goes on another month. I am up to 70 of these 250 miles babies. This has been a terrific promo! :D
I have finished 29 out of 32 dines for UAL ( dining for four family members).
Yikes, I just did the math, 70 qualified eats from 8/1 to 9/27: that's well more than one dine per day, not even factoring in those 29 UALers. Pairdocs, will you soon have to change your handle to fourofdocs? My qualified dines are in the mid-40's, and I'm feeling a bit sluggish myself and thinking about starting that diet 9/1.
But have to agree about it being a terrrific promo. Wonder if anything else is planned.

Thanks dxtraveller and cornroaster for posting the links and details. I think a $25 minimum is a bit prohibitive. I wonder if it is the way the idine bonuses are going in the future?
They have been that way multiple times in the past, too, but far from universal then and still far from universal now.
The Build Your Bonus at BA back in Aug/Sep had a $25/dine minimum, but the new double miles on first two dines doesn't (tho it'd be silly to waste your only two doubled dines on cheap dines!).
UA had some promo last year that had a $25/dine minimum (I forget which one), but hasn't had a $25/dine minimum on promos since (including no per-dine minimum on either their recent Build Your Bonus which had no minimum of any kind, or their current RSVP, although their current RSVP requires a higher TOTAL spending per month than most of the other RSVP variations).
Given that the $150 total dining spend is the exact same amount that AA Gold/Plat/EXP members have needed to earn the AA elite 500 bonus miles/month, it's THAT TOTAL dining spend minimum which seems to be gaining ground as I see it, more than any per-dine minimums. (Until early this year, the AA elite bonus only required 3 dines a month, no minimum!)

...my question is this: Are there any other bonuses that are presently running similar to the Delta bonus??
Thanks -- and good eating!
Moderator - Since NJUPINTHEAIR is apparently unable to edit his first post in this thread right now, could you edit the title of the thread to state "IDine Bonus Thread" so that the purpose of the sticky thread is clearer. There are several other threads going right now describing current bonuses, as the title of this thread might not be clear to everyone. Thanks.

In the Dining section of the Other Programs I Like page of my website below I have listed the current idine bonuses for Delta, American, Northwest, United, Alaska, Continental, and America West Airlines, and U.S. and British Airways. Midwest Airlines and Priority Club have not yet responded with an offer.

If one first uses 12 very small dines and get to the elite level, and then start on the $150 promo or even buying eligible restaurant gift cerificate( s ) you also get the elite double miles which with $150 is an additional 750 miles. Or from the Hot list would be additional 1,500 miles.

It's not particularly clear whether a Tier 1 member receives 15 miles (5 x 3) or 30 miles (10 x 3) for these 3 IDines.

Is it triple my already bonus miles of 10 miles / $ or do you think it's triple the normal elite level of 5 miles / $? If it is the latter then I will only end up netting ~2500 miles and not the full 5000 :(

"Such as"? AAdvantage Dining IS the name of AA's iDine program.
Also, there are NO other dining partners for ANYONE (in terms of earning miles for dining). There used to be another program (I'm spacing on the name) that Diners Club used a few years ago, but then they converted to iDine.
The only other dining "rewards" programs I'm familiar with (existing today) are ones like Entertainment or restaurant.com which are all discount programs of some sort (ie, they operate exclusively in the money currency world, not the miles currency or points currency worlds).

Any indication whether a Dine needs to happen before 8/31 to get this bonus? Right now I'm concentrating on building up NW miles (through dining) to reach an award level; if I use all those miles I might retire my NW account and concentrate on YX. I signed up for YX's program just in case enrolling alone is enough for the bonus.

Any one (1) transaction by 8/31 should be enough. You have plenty of time as 8/31 is the transaction date cut-off, not the posting date.
You could charge a single drink separately on your YX-linked card. Or, do what I've done in the past, and present two cards to pay for the meal: "Could you please charge $5 on this [YX-linked] card and the balance on the other [NW] one?"
Be sure to check the NW and YX participanting restaurant lists for your area carefully - they may not be completely identical! And one-visit-per-month restriction is per-airline; you get one monthly transaction each for NW and YX.

To be fair to PantyWaster I checked the AAdvantage iDine website after reading their post. Under the Great TASTE bonus T&C it did say that the promo was extended until 9/31/06. And now today the bonus is gone... So they were right and now it's look like they are wrong.

Well it would be gone, since the extension notice in the T&C said you had to have registered by August 31. I suspect those who made a copy of that notice will be able to argue successfully that they should get the bonus, if that bonus is not automatically posted.

This "extension" is of no value to those of us that completed the 4 dines by August 31st. I"m assuming they won't give another 1,000 bonus miles. As for the contest I'm not sure if they will still have the drawing on the same date or not. I guess we will find out. :)

But, you left this vey important information out --
*A qualified dine is a dine that occurs after registering for this bonus, prior to October 31, 2006, and is $15 or greater (including
tax and tip) at a participating restaurant on a day when benefits are offered and which is paid for with a credit or debit card

Now, what can one do with 10,000 plus Priority Club points?
sdsearch

what can one do with 10,000 plus Priority Club points?1. Convert them to oodles of airline frequent flier programs, typically at 5:1 and thus 10000 points to 2000 miles. (Can also convert to Southwest credits.) You can only convert in 10k point increments, and thus until you get to 20k you won't be able to convert more than your first 10k.
2. Use 10k for a free night at Holiday Inn Express locations in some areas. (In other areas, Holiday Inn Express is 20k per free night.)
3. Use 11k for a free night at any Candlewood Suites, including the Jersey City one which is (walkably) near the PATH station to NYC.
(If you're already Elite with Priority Club Dining, you'll earn 15 points per dollar, and thus at least 1800 points on the dines themselves. If you're not, and don't get there along the way, you'll earn 960 points on the dines themslves if they're exactly $15 each, so if you want to get to 11k for that Candlewood free night and have nothing yet in your Priority Club account, make some of them enough over $15 to get you there.)

The Delta Amex offer requires that you be a new member. The Delta card is easy to get, and earns even more miles up front. So in that sense, the offer is a true bonus. I see no indication that it is targeted.

Judy, just read what you have posted. It is quite clear that multiple dines per member per day are OK as long as they are at different restaurants. Likewise, if my wife and I go out for a $50 dinner, we will ask to split the tab across two cards tied to two different iDine accounts (hers and mine) - also OK per the T&C's to which you refer.
One member - two dines - one restaurant - one day - no good.

I guess they got sick of us all whipping out like 3+ cards so we can split a bill into multiple dines that fit the minimum. :(

I just e-mailed RN to ask whether this offer has been retracted? Will post answer when received.
I checked my Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan Dining and found this under the BONUSES:
Earn 250 miles per qualified dine 1/1/07 - 4/30/07
But when I clicked on it, I get a blank screen. I'm hoping they just put it on and haven't had a chance to finish its registration screen. 250 bonus miles per qualifying dine looks promising. (depending on their definition of qualifying...)

First time since these promotions began appearing (about the time unlimited visits became the norm at most restaurants) that I have no promotion either ongoing or upcoming on any program? Beyond the Q1 ones that had been set up a while ago, y'all feel this is pretty much it for RN?
There are blank links to "elite dining promotions" on 3 plans - for what that's worth.

For the moment, at least with AA, the only bonus I know of is the same old 500 miles for the first $150 per month for AA elites, good through 29 Feb 2008 iirc. Presumably, there is a special deal going on for any AA elites who register with ADRN (AAdvantage Dining by Rewards Network) so they can become elites without having the 12 dine requirement, but the 6 weeks or so they say it will take to get ADRN elite makes this less than an ideal incentive, IMO.
Our Megamiles posted ~March 21, but in the meantime another incentive / bonus program would be nice. OTOH, with folks like Cornroaster, BOGO, Gardner, points scrounger et al keeping an eye on these programs, we'll probably be among the first to know. NJUPINTHEAIR has started so many threads and added so much, s/he shall remain unmentioned - not. ^ Or, at least others who are deserving shall remain truly unmentioned just now. :D
Another frustration for me was filling out the comments section of the reviews, but those have been useless as they never show the comments - only the combined ratings. Of course, being assiduous about filling the reviews in meant no "fill 'em out and get miles" offer for me...
Anyone remember that dictum "punish the innocent, reward the guilty, and promote the non-participant?" It may be alive and well! ;)

I just became elite with AAdv. RN and wanted help clarifying the way it works. Please pardon my lack of understanding, I'm new to this program. ..
Is the 500 mile bonus for $150 per month still in effect with the 250 miles per $15 dine promo? Are there further incentives active for spending more than $150 per month?
Please confirm my calculations....
SPEND: $15 at 10 separate dines ($150 total).
RECEIVE:
10 miles per $1 @ $150 (1500 miles)
250 miles each of 10 dines (2500 miles)
500 bonus miles for $150 (500 miles)
1 mile per $1 with Citi Plat. (150 miles)
Thus, spending $150 can potentially earn as many as 4650 miles (assuming minimum spent at 10 dines) ultimately granting 31 miles per $1 (or 465 miles each dine)?

That's my math. Unless I'm eating at a place that gives 10+10 miles per dollar.
Also keep in mind the increments: at a 5+5 miles place you get 2 miles per 20 cents. So a bill of 15.20 will get two more miles than a bill of 15.19, but no less than a bill of 15.39

Yes, the 500 miles for AA Gold/Plat/EXPs for $150 month spend is independent of and can be combined with any other RN promo.
So your math sounds fine, except that I suspect you will have a hard time paying exactly $15 for each dine, unless they're all cheap dines and you are just adding a huge tip to get it to $15. And if you go a bit over, while you earn more, it no longer works out quite to 31 miles per $. (Nor does it, of course, if you gover exactly $150 total.)

Lot of promos coming up, so here's the summary I pulled together:
Alaska Airlines
5/1/07 - 7/31/07
Only if you did not have an online ID prior to 4/20/07
250 miles per dine of $15 or more
3,000 miles maximum
American Airlines
4/1/07 - 5/31/07
250 miles/dine of $15 or more
no maximum
Delta Airlines
5/1/07-6/30/07
Triple miles for Sunday-Thursday dines
3,000 miles maximum
Midwest Airlines, United Airlines, and US Airways
5/1/07 - 6/30/07
250 miles per dine of $25 or more
5,000 miles maximum
Northwest Airlines
4/1/07 - 6/30/07
Only if you did not have an online ID prior to 4/1/07
250 miles per dine of $25 or more
3,000 miles maximum
Priority Club
4/20/07 - 12/31/07
1,500 bonus miles for creating an online ID then having a dine of $15 or more within 30 days.
The Priority Club is more what I'd classify as a sign-up bonus and is basically only one dine, so anyone who wants to do that, do it whenver is convenient (maybe wait and see if there's a gap in promos at some point in the year).
By month, the promos currently known are:
April - American and Northwest
May - Alaska, American, Delta, Midwest, Northwest, United, US Airways
June - Alaska, Delta, Midwest, Northwest, United, US Airways
July - Alaska
I'll be doing American through the end of April, then switch to Delta on 3x days and Midwest on Friday and Saturday, then to Alaska for July (unless something better comes along).

My advice regarding Priority Club would be for anyone would'd be remotely interested to register now. The other partner 250 bonuses seem to be limited to one visit per restaurant per day. So, split a tab of $30+ between PC and your primary airline to get the 1500 PC points. After that, you could begin splitting between PC and your airline tabs over, say, $20 so that you get your airline bonus, plus credits towards elite Priority Club dining status, as efficiently as possible.
I have no problem whatsoever asking restaurants: "Please put exactly $5 on this (PC) card, and the balance on that (airline) one." Only once have I been "refused" - and that was legit as they were busy and the cc transactions were going through very slowly; this was standing at the terminal/cashier, so I could see that the guy was telling the truth.

250 miles for a minimum of $25 would seem bogus to me. I would absolutely refuse to go out of my way for it.DL's 25,000 mile bonus promotion last year (25,000 bonus miles for 25 dines of $25 or more) was pretty darn generous, I don't recall anything quite as good from AA. DL's first quarter promotion this year was also more generously setup than AA's (you would earn the same on AA as on DL for less than $100 (none), $500-$599 (5,000 miles), and over $1,000 (10,000 miles), but any other level of spending and DL's bonus was more generous).
I would say that AA and DL are the most generous, some bonuses are better than others from each airline but I certainly wouldn't say AA is flat out more generous given some of DL's bonuses in the recent past.

The Priority Club is more what I'd classify as a sign-up bonus and is basically only one dine, so anyone who wants to do that, do it whenver is convenient (maybe wait and see if there's a gap in promos at some point in the year).
By month, the limited time (not counting CO and PC that run until 12/31) promos currently known are:
June - Alaska, Delta, Midwest, Northwest, United, US Airways
July - Alaska

The info is available via the AA RN main page (not bonus tab), though not yet accepting registrations, as it's for Sept/Oct. Basically ... 5 mile "bonus" on the first $500 (2500 miles max).
FIVE−MILE BONUS OFFER TERMS AND CONDITIONS
*Qualified dines are dines after registering for this bonus that occur between 8/27/07 and 10/31/07 at participating restaurants during a valid benefit period, and which are paid for with a credit or debit card registered in the AAdvantage Dining SM program. Other limitations may apply. Offer is combinable with other AAdvantage DiningSM program bonuses.
Limit one qualified dine per participating restaurant per member per calendar day towards this bonus. Please allow 6−8 weeks after your qualified dine for any bonus miles to post to your account.
AAdvantage® miles will be awarded based only on the first $600 you spend per restaurant, per month. (I wouldn't risk spending more if the joint is techincally $1000 minimum, or unlimited, for the underlying miles)

But thanks - I will be patient. FLgrrr, sounds like iDine's left and right hands are a bit uncoordinated right now?
I also moved Beckles' Delta bonus announcement here too, for consistency - Beckles' consolidating posts have been a bonus for me! ^
They were a bit premature in loading the details on their main page; it was not there under bonus offers. Most surveys haven't been register-able until roughly two weeks beforehand, at the earliest. I recall one where they didn't even post anything until a day or two after the start date. Be patient.

I'm curious, is this the most miles per dollar EVER in an idine bonus? Assuming you are an elite member and nail the $15/dine to the penny, you will spend $75 and earn 10 miles/dollar or 750 miles. On top of that, the 5000 mile bonus gives you a total of 5750 miles for $75. That's 1.3 cents per mile or 77 miles per dollar! Many people value Skymiles at 1.5 cents or 2.0 cents per mile--and here you get the food too.

Of course the geographic restrictions make it much less useful in general than most other bonuses.

That's the exact reason the Dine in Dallas promotion is $50 minimum spend. Luckily, I have tipped exactly to $51.00 each time (as posted before, never do exactly $50, in case the server mistakenly fat fingers his/her tip and you lose the bonus dine).

Priority Club is a monthly batch posting. Be aware that Dec 2007 dines should post in early Jan 2008, with those points counting towards the latter year's status (not "topping off" 2007).
Have youy guys checked your PC Dining page to see whether the promo points have posted there yet? My one experience trying to get promo points to post at PC itself met with a snippy PC rep advising me that "6 weeks means wait 6 weeks"; my Rewards Newtwork account reflected the points had transferred, so I cut and pasted that in an email to PC, and the points posted promptly thereafter.

The new AA promo is nice, but I'll be sticking with Priority Club until 10/1/07, I'd blow through the $500 cap on the AA bonus with no problem before it expires then could potentially be left with no good bonus opportunities after 10/1/07. I'm not exactly thrilled with all these geographically limited bonusues. :(

I gotcha - I agree. Announcements here, and Beckles (I assumed it was a female handle, a "Rebecca" perhaps, but hey, I've been wrong before...) a linked thread with more detailed information, trouble and progress reports, etc. With your help, I'll add some organization and "findability" for those dropping in to see what's up. (Maybe it's one of my longer term jobs I'm on right now - my boss is female and her title is "Assistant Chief;" those of us on more informal terms address her as "Chief." ;) )
Later: Nope, Beckles is another male FlyerTalker! "Assume" resumes its normal meaning now... :D

Beckles is of the male persuasion ... back in my college days some of the kids I played soccer with called me Beckles based on my surname of Beckley (which many of my other friends and teammates would call me by instead of my first name), I did not know at the time that it was also a nickname for Rebecca (which casts the nickname in an entirely different light in hindsight ;)).

It appears that Priority Club has gone to weekly posting of points in the past two weeks, though I haven't been getting bonus points posted to Priority Club that I've gotten the base points for (the bonus points do show in my Rewards Network account, just not as having posted).
I also received my 1,500 point sign-up bonus yesterday.

Qualified dines are dines after registering for this bonus that occur between 8/12/07 and 10/31/07 at participating restaurants during a valid benefit period, and which are paid for with a credit or debit card registered in the AAdvantage Dining SM program.
Some restaurants offer mileage awards only on certain days of the week or times of the day. For complete program Terms and Conditions, details, guidelines and restrictions, and the latest benefit schedules, visit aa.rewardsnetwork.com.

No registration required. When you get the email confirmation for the dine, click on the link and rate your lovely evening at Joe's Grease Palace. The miles will post automatically. You can also go to your account and find a link under the name of the restaurant in your list of posted dines.
From the AA iDine site: https://aa.rewardsnetwork.com/registerbonus.jsp?id=A075:
"1. Make sure you have opted in to receive emails from the AAdvantage DiningSM program.
2. Dine at participating AAdvantage Dining restaurants between 8/19/07 and 12/15/07 on days when benefits are being offered.
3. When you receive your Benefit Confirmation email from the AAdvantage Dining program, click on the "Rate your experience" link and complete the short survey by 12/31/07."

I'm just going to pile on here as I breezed by Beckle's fix of the Delta promotion per Point Scrounger's keen eye for detail.
Delta's new promotion requires dines at four (4) different restaurants during the entire life of this promotion -- NO REPEATS!! -- Each qualifying dine must be at a different restaurant!!

you see nothing special there (either on the front page or in the bonuses tab). So no, there's nothing right now.
Keep in mind that AFAIK there have never been bonuses going on all airlines at the same time. There's always at least one or two airlines at any time that don't have a bonus. And furthermore, even when lots of airlines have bonuses (like this month), few of them are the same (and they're generally far from all being equally good).

Like which one? All of these are different!

Thanks, I had searched all of US threads and posts and didn't see anything either. Was just pitching out the question to see if I caught something. Just like fishing, sometimes the catch is good and sometimes there is just nothing to catch.

(They're here just for the benefit of those people who don't visit those sites reguarly unless they hear on FT that there's a new bonus.)This is not correct, some of the sign-up bonuses listed in this thread are not listed on the website in the bonus section, and there have been occasions where we have learned of promotions before they were publicly posted and details are included in this thread. By the same token, there is sometimes a delay in us adding new bonuses to this thread from the time they are posted on the iDine site(s), so this list is not always complete due to that time lag.

Yep, arrive at the front page and you can sign up and earn 1000 miles per dine for the first three dines, as long as they are over $25.00... If you know anyone who has been vacillating over signing up, this is the time. A drink, pay; dinner over $25, pay; whoops, time for dessert... ;)
