InterContinental Hotels: Priority Club & Inter-Continental Ambassador - Help with Gold Amabassador

Is there anyway to confirm if a res has ambassodor benefits? I called the res desk, and she had no clue of what the Ambassodor program was...agh!!!

is it an IC and if so what rate?
if not an IC you arent entitled to anything, although you may get something at checkin as a courtesy

its a Holiday Inn. Typically they upgrade if avail and give free breakfasts.

Just seemed odd that the person at reservations didn't have a clue.

Rate is $94 btw.

Gold applies only to non-Intercontinental Group hotelsl; e.g. Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, etc. As Gold, you're not entitled to upgrades and/or free breakfasts.

Ambassador applies to Intercontinental Hotels only. You're eligible for room upgrades and a welcome gift.

Gotcha...thanks. As you can tell, I was one of the weiners who signed up under DL last year. Only stayed at one HI, and wife stayed at an IC. At the HI, they gave me free breakfasts, oh well :)

Your booking, if made on the PC or other ICH booking site, should have clearly stated in bright red on the top of the confirmation page that "Ambassador benefits do not apply on this reservation". This is always printed at the top in bright red if one is an Ambassador/RA and booking a non-IC property, i.e. CP, HI, HIX, etc. Gold PC is really not going to give you any stay benefits at these properties, though individual properties do offer breakfasts or drink vouchers at their discretion. This is not an entitlement of the PC Gold or Plat program, nor are upgrades for Golds.

If you consider yourself a "weiner", then I suggest reading the fine print before you register for offers and spend more time reading FT. A little education goes a long way, and weiners should really on be for BBQing or eating at ballgames...not members of the FT community!

Thanks for all the help folks! I signed up last year for the 25k DL miles. I decided to give PC a try on a few trips this year. So if nothing else, they gained about 5 nights stay in the past 6 months plus 3 this weekend from my family. From what I have observed, a pretty good product all in all.

Ok, just got back from the stay. The HI gave a "full" breakfast (anything from the menu) to PC members, no room upgrade. No big deal...hotel was decent.

The bar/club was a hopping place on Fri and Sat night.
