TravelBuzz! - Great Service Carrier, Love Flying w/ them but 1-2 of their routes are plain awful

I'm a regular CX flyer and am in possesion of their second highest tier status (Marco Polo Gold). There is no doubt in my mind that CX is one of the top notch carriers out there ranking only behind SQ IHMO. However there is one particular route in their network that plain stinks and needs major improvement - Their LAX flights.

I have always had wonderful experiences flying CX to/from YVR or SFO (and I have flown to/from those ports on multiple occassions) and have seldomly encountered problems or flaws. But my last 7 CX flights to/from LAX has just been PLAIN AWFUL - Rude/Incompetent check-in staff (LAX ones), Rude/Incompetent cabin crews, horrible catering out of LAX, misbehaved passengers, etc.

As a result of this. I have often had to reroute north to SFO or YVR to fly CX just to avoid their LAX operations despite the fact that I'm a part time L.A. resident myself.

Now, has anyone else experienced similar incidents with CX or any other carriers where you enjoy flying with them, fly them regularly because you belive they are among the best there are out there, but would avoid several of their routes due to unpleasantry that you normally do not encounter in all of their other routes, thus you would reroute to choose another port to fly with them?

I echo your sentiments on CX. I fly CX to Asia at least once a quarter, and this week I flew all the way up to YVR to avoid LAX. I don't know what the problem is in LAX, but the service there is consistently poor. (But then again, so is the LAX service for SQ and NW, in my experience.)

My experience in YVR was very good, on the other hand.
