Please do a search. Centurion benefits have been covered here extensively. ;) Also, your response is off topic as acceptance of American Express is different from a "benefit" of the Centurion card. Grog Jun 28, 05, 1:10 pm Please do a search. IMHO, that was a bit of a sucky comment to make :p NNH Jun 28, 05, 1:36 pm Good to know you can get answers to hard questions here. skydve1 Jun 28, 05, 4:29 pm Good to know you can get answers to hard questions here. Yeah, but some of those answers can be hard to swallow at times. MoritzK Jun 28, 05, 5:56 pm Yes, and some posters seem to be as stiff as a poker. traveler4ever Jun 28, 05, 8:15 pm IMHO, that was a bit of a sucky comment to make :p yaaahh.... I agree......... traveler4ever Jun 28, 05, 8:17 pm BJs (http://www.bjs.com/) now accepts American Express cards. :) I sincerely thank you for posting that bit of info! I didn't know. That is GREAT news for me! We have a BJs nearby and now I can use my company amex card instead of a check! ;) JayBrian Jun 28, 05, 9:08 pm It was frustrating for many years not being able to use my AMEX at BJs. Now I can use it at BJs in Springfield PA and Norristown PA and when I need to go to BJs when I'm visiting our place in the West Palm Beach area too. By the way I think BJ comes from the founders Berkley and Jensen. Jay UpgradeMe Jun 29, 05, 5:43 am By the way I think BJ comes . . . Isn't that the point? Anyway,,I'l check out AMEX too in the next few days,,they also have an ATM with rates charged on both sides,, I avoid that. like a Y Transpac middle seat. See you in a Tuscon in Oct, October this year? Stu the_traveler Dec 20, 05, 9:01 am BJs (http://www.bjs.com/) now accepts American Express cards. :) I am going to join BJ's today, and wanted to see what FT said about BJ's, and came across this thread via a search. It says BJ's acccepts AmEx. But when I look at the BJ's website, it says different. "BJ's offers the most payment options in the wholesale club industry. In addition to cash, checks and debit cards, you can charge your purchases on your MasterCard, VISA, or Discover/Novus credit cards." It does not mention American Express at all! Did this change in the last 5 months? the_traveler Dec 20, 05, 10:14 am To clarify my previous post, it is VERY confusing, if they take AmEx. The BJ's website says they take MC, VI and DS (but does not mention AX). However, when you print out the 1-day shopping pass, the following is printed: "Pay with cash, MasterCard®, American Express®, Discover® Network, Visa® or debit cards only." So do they or don't they? mia Dec 20, 05, 10:15 am American Express is mentioned on this page (http://www.bjs.com/general/checkusout) Joe1690 Dec 20, 05, 10:15 am Well, I don't know about online but I went to my local bj's club on 12/2 and used my Amex card perfectly fine. They have offered amex now for about 2 years if I remember correctly. the_traveler Dec 20, 05, 3:26 pm Well, I don't know about online but I went to my local bj's club on 12/2 and used my Amex card perfectly fine. They have offered amex now for about 2 years if I remember correctly. I just came back from my local BJ's, and they do take AX! :) It is very confusing, as the website says 1 thing, while the store says another. The clerk at the membership desk told me that they "just started to accept AX not long ago" and "maybe the site did not get updated yet". (In 2 years? ) While signing up, I learned that they are having a promotion ("ending soon" - I don't know when) for a new membership. Normally it's cost 40 dollars for a 12 month membership - the promotion is 30 dollars for a 15 month membership! |
