Hertz - New Website and ZE 1

View Full Version : New Website and ZE 1

I had noticed that every time I did something with a reservation on the new website I had to keep checking the Hertz Awards Points radio button. Well I just checked my last 5 rental contracts (all in the last 3 weeks) and NONE of them had ZE 1 on them. I had a co-worked check his receipts and the same thing happened to him.

I just called to get those points reinstated (the website form did not work) and although it was pretty easy with the RR numbers, it seems ridiculous that I have to do this for every rental. I told the agent about this problem with the new website so that maybe he could report it, and instead of taking note of it he offered me the web support number... I guess I will just have to call Hertz Reservations and have them add the number before picking up the cars...

Is this happening to others as well?

Changes to existing reservations on the old website cleared the ZE1 button in my experience, as well.

I've learned to check every time. Perhaps if we all submit a "suggestion" to the website manager, they'll fix it so it remembers the setting with our "profile".

Is there a page on the Hertz website that explains ZE1 and has an award chart or something similar? I have never found anything with any level of detail.

Made 3 more reservations on the new website and made sure Hertz #1 Awards was selected. I immediately called Hertz #1 Gold Reservations and they said ZE 1 was NOT in any of the 3 records. I had them add it and they transfered me to the Hertz Web support line. The agent looked at my profile and saw that it is there, and put me on hold. When she came back she said that they are aware of the problem and they're working on it, so what she said is that for ANY reservation made on hertz.com I will need to call to get ZE 1 added and for past rentals I will need to call the Awards desk to get credit.

I've had this problem too. I've also noticed it checking off the Neverlost box, and showing that I've requested Neverlost AND Sirius, but it doesn't charge me for them in the quote.

I'd say Hertz has some kinks to work out...

Hmm... That must explain my issue. Had six rentals over three weeks and nothing posted. Wrote to ask what the delay of game was, and they posted them immediately. I have two more coming, so I expect I will have to ask that they get posted, as well.

Very annoying...

Sorry for delayed response, I only just now checked back on this particular forum

Thanks much! ^

I didn't have the "what can i get" link though, probably because i have zero points. Is it 1 point per dollar rate spent? I'm getting very close to topping off an airline free ticket, thinking after that just going default to ZE1...

It's 1 point per dollar spent on the rental rate, upgrade charges, and any optional insurances. (At least for the liability insurance; I never take the CDW). You don't get points for taxes, concession recovery fees, convention center/sports stadium/consolidated car rental facility fees, or any other fee the local government feels like charging you.
