I did a quick scan through FAQ and didnt find the answer. Also, are there any promotions going on right now?

You're not suppose to get points on PL stays. But, some have gotten them.

*Wood promos are usually targetted. Use Search function to check.

If you search the forum for Priceline Points (as in click "Search This Forum" at the upper right) you'll find quite a few responses - including this one:

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=421077&highlight=priceline+points

which includes a response from a Starwood employee who regularly reads and responds to questions of SPG policy. In short, no points, no stay credit and no status-based upgrades.

I guess there is some difference between these two words.

Simple answer is no.

No, but.

I have gotten Gold room upgrades and incidental points (+ gold bonuses) at certain *wood stays. Writing a friendly letter to the GM ahead of time asking him to attach your SPG # to the account for the purpose of incidentals helps a lot.

I think it depends on the property.

You don't get points for PL bookings. If you do the staff made a mistake.

You are not supposed to get status upgrades, but if you are nice to the receptionist, and the hotel has plenty of upgrade availabilities you may still get them. Just remember, you can request an upgrade, but never take it for granted.

im sure this has been covered before but if im not wrong, someone mentioned on flyertalk that spg points can be earned on priceline stays for incidentals such as restaurant bills, minibar charges and phone calls?

Could i get a flyertalker's opinion as to how best to get my number attached since it has already been established that for priceline stays, all the boxes in teh reservation are greyed out at starwood reservations.

cheers

If the hotel won't attach it for you at check-in, just fax in your folio to SPG after your stay has been completed.

It's Hilton that, as a matter of policy, won't provide points for incidentals on Priceline stays. Starwood absolutely does. If the hotel won't add your SPG # at checkin for this purpose, they are mistaken. As mentioned above, just fax your bill after the fact and you'll get the appropriate points for incidentals (but not for room rate).

I'm closing this as we will be putting together a sticky compendum on the FAQs most frequently asked. The Priceline stay/credit/points question seems to come up quite frequently. If there are others that you would like to ensure is included in the sticky please feel free to PM the moderators of this forum. Thanks!
