What is the cheapest/easiest way to get from KUL to HAN, The ticket isn't return as I plan to visit HCM(SGN) then somehow get to BKK as my flight back to NYC leaves from there. Any ideas or recomendations? So far it looks like I will have to go from KUL-SIN to get there on a LCC.

You can get an asean air pass. It costs about $130 per sector. Minimum of three sectors.

Hope this helps

Easiest way is MH's direct flight from KUL to HAN which prices out at about $226 USD one way on malaysia's web site. You can likely do better buying directly from a KUL based discount travel agent.

I havent come across any "good" travel agent in KUL. I tend to book direct with MH these days.

Any KUL based "discount" travel agent you could recommend ?

If you're in KUL you probably are already aware of the ones that snorkmaster posted in http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=340839

Last time I was there I had a friend who grew up in KUL find me a deal.

Unfortunately, the 2 travel agents listed in that thread are not that great.

"Mayflower" once refused to sell me a SQ ticket
and "Reliance" though the largest operator here, concentrates on cheap package tours and its very difficult to get through to them on the phone.

I have given up looking for a decent Travel Agent in KL, and find it easier to book on the net (i.e when MH's booking website works ;) ) unless someone here has a good recommendation .................

Unlike budget carriers, MH's one way fare is not half the price of a return ticket. And Air Asia has yet to commence flights to HAN, hence you may have to go down to SIN to take advantage of Tiger Airways one way fare to HAN.

Just a suggestion , why dont you base yourself in BKK and puchase seperate return tickets to KUL and HAN if these are the two cities you wish to visit. I have purchased a return ticket KUL-BKK-KUL on MH for only MYR450 (USD118) before taxes.
