Hello,
Any recent experience at the Hilton Toledo?
I'm debating over the Hilton Toledo or one of the Courtyard by Marriotts off I-80.
Thanks!

I stayed there a couple of weeks ago. I got a good price of about $75. The rooms are all remodeled and nice for the price. They were still remodeling the lobby and restaurant. I got the breakfast buffet and cookies at night as a Diamond.

Last I stayed at the Toledo Courtyards (I've stayed at three of them; about a year ago), they were run of the mill unrenovated Courtyards. Nothing special. Toledo is overdue for some new upscale properties.

Thanks, ohmark. I guess Hilton Toledo it is! Thank you both!

As others have said, the rooms (especially the beds) are quite nice. There is still some remodeling going on in the lobby, but the new restaurant '31 Hundred' is now open, and has a new menu. No more having to eat in the Conference Room/Lounge.
One of things I like most about this property is that guests get to use the exercise facility at the Medical College of Ohio, which is right next door. This is probably the best gym I've seen at a hotel, pity that it closes at 7:30 PM during the summer.

Thanks UA835!
But I just stayed at the Hilton Toledo on 10/13/05. I was very impressed. It is just about the nicest small hotel in this category. The bath and bed are upgraded to the Hilton Serenity Collection. The staff is wonderful. The new 3100 Restaurant is quite good. I have actually been raving about it since I've been back.

Any updated information on these 2 properties? I have a meeting in the area in Sept. and will likely burn 20K for a reward stay. I love the new Hampton Inn beds, but prefer suites & the breakfast at Homewood. Plus the Homewood is much more expensive for a paid room, so I feel that I'm getting more value at Homewood! :D Which would you recommend?

If you are looking for best value please check the Hampton Inn at Bowling Green for point stretcher...l remember seeing it for only 7,500 points!
Excluding location considerations, if Homewood and HI are the same points, I always go for the Homewood, much more space and nice dinner and nicer breakfast.
Surprisingly, from what I heard, the Toledo Hilton usually is the cheapest of all Hilton brand hotels in the area (most are HIs), go figure. But it only has 2 suites so if you wanted an upgrade you are probably out of luck.
