BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., April 28, 2005 - Hilton Garden Inn® offers travelers the chance to take home the latest offerings in cutting edge guestroom amenities with the Evolution Solution ExpressTM by Hilton Garden Inn Sweepstakes. The online sweepstakes coincides with the brand's Evolution Solution Express (ESE) tour-a 72-foot long, 67,000 pound, 26-foot wide mobile marketing vehicle currently trekking its way across the country-and offers the chance to win the Garden Sleep SystemTM by VSS Sleep SystemsTM or the modified "Mirra"TM chair by Herman Miller.

"From Las Vegas, Nev., to Missoula, Mont., to Fairfax, Va., the ESE has received an overwhelmingly positive response from consumers across the U.S. We've been on the road for less than two months and already the Hilton Garden Inn fan base has grown exponentially," said Mark Nogal, vice president - marketing for Hilton Garden Inn. "This sweepstakes is our chance to share the evolution of the Hilton Garden Inn guestroom with our guests and potential guests and offer them the opportunity to take the experience home."

From now until August 14, 2005, guests entering each monthly sweepstakes will have a chance to win one of five Herman Miller MIRRA chairs or one of five Garden Sleep System (queen-size) beds by VSS Sleep Systems. Consumers can fill out an official entry form by visiting the Hilton Garden Inn Evolution Solution Express Sweepstakes Web site at www.rpmcsweeps.com/hgi-ese. Additionally, those able to come and see the ESE in person will receive a special "key card" which is a $10 off coupon valid during a weekend stay* at any participating Hilton Garden Inn hotel location. Official rules, such as eligibility and drawing notification can be found on the sweepstakes Web site.

About The Evolution Solution ExpressTM (ESE)

Garden Sleep System bed by VSS Sleep Systems
Modified "MIRRA" chair by Herman Miller
26" Philips flat screen, high-definition television
Innovative Hilton Garden Inn clock allowing travelers to play their MP3 player or portable CD player

The ESE was launched to Hilton Garden Inn owners and general managers during the Hilton Focused Service Brand conference in Las Vegas on Feb. 14, 2005. The ESE mobile tour will travel for approximately six months, from February through July 2005. It will stop at Hilton Garden Inn hotels throughout the U.S. and Canada, properties under construction, business parks, as well as local events and attractions. Additionally, the ESE will make an appearance at WIRED magazine's NextFest, a three-day technology festival expected to attract thousands of visitors from around the country. A 72 feet long by 26 feet wide "mobile" marketing vehicle? Somehow I can't see that getting too far down any road. Perhaps it's a bolt-together double-wide trailer?

Does anyone know the schedule for the tour?

I will certainly be looking forward to the Mirra chair. Herman Miller makes the Aeron and Mirra, and their sales reps position the Mirra as a lower cost version of the Aeron. Certainly MUCH more comfortable than the thing currently in the rooms.

The beds don't seem too bad - don't know what the VSS sleep system is.

The new clocks will be nice - I noticed that the HGI I'm in now does not have the new clock radios that are supposed to be rolled out in the Hilton family. The last Hampton at which I stayed had the new clock radio and it was very nice - I actually bothered to set it instead of getting a wake up call.

The existing TV's seem fine and also about 26" - but I guess they want flat screens (I take it flat screen rather than flat panel).

The article did not mention the decor of the rooms - they sure could update these ugly bedspreads that adorn all of the HGI beds - getting rid of those and the goofy ivy wallpaper trim around the ceiling would go a long way to making the rooms look much more sophisticated.
