So if the Kia Amanti is the "Korean Jaguar" in terms of styling, I guess the Hyundai XG350L can be called the "Korean Lincoln".
First off, the 350XGL site - http://www.hyundaiusa.com/vehicle/xg350/trim/xg350l.asp
The Hyundai 350XGL is classified as an H - Specialty Premium - like the Kia, Infiniti G35 and Toyota Avalon
The car uses 3.5 liter DOHC V6 generates 194hp and 216lb-ft of torque. The trannie is a five-speed automatic with manual shift control. EPA specs are 19 in the city and 27 on the highway.
Ride is "floaty", but not Ford/GM floaty, soaking-up the bumps quite well. Traction control and ABS are standard, with good braking. Tires are 16" with 12-spoke rims.
Interior room is decent enough, with 8-way power driver and 6-way power passengers seats covered in nice leather. The woodgrain trim looks decent enough and covers the top and bottom part of the steering wheel (the rest is leather wrapped). Seats are heated and the climate control system is single-zone and automatic.
The 350XGL adds a power sunroof and trunk-mounted CD changer along with an Infinity sound system. The sound system is very nice, with clear sound.
I like this car better then the Kia, but it's still not even in the league of the Avalon or G35. Hertz would have been better off putting the Koreans in the YG category and leaving the Avalon and G35 alone in H to prevent customer service issues when someone antes up the $70+ for an H expecting an Avalon and they see this or the Kia in their spot.
