Hertz - Land Rover-which?

I know this has been asked before, but I don't think it was answered. The gold booth person I spoke with didn't know this either: I believe the LR3 is the Land Rover model rented, does anyone know what trim level? More importantly, which engine? I would imagine that this 5k lb vehicle would be quite a dog with V6 engine...thanks all!

I don't know about overseas markets, but the American-market version is only offered with the 4.4L V8 as far as I know.

That's what I thought too, but if you go to landroverusa.com, it shows an option for the V6. But if you check out something like edmunds.com, it only lists the 4.4 V8. I'll definitely take the latter!

You're right -- I completely forgot about the 4.0L being added as the base model! FWIW, Land Rover made the announcement of the V6 model in April, and the first units are only supposed to be arriving in July, so I would think your chances of getting a V8 are pretty high.
