Hilton HHonors - Which hotel to choose in New England (boston suburb)?

I need your recommendation about the best hotel for my my family's upcoming New England Trip.

I want to ask two different properties (places) to stay.

First, I need to stay one night at suburban Boston. It doesn't have to be Boston area, though. I need a place to stay in between Maine (Bar Harbor) and Boston. Since I have to depart in the afternoon at Bar Harbor, and want to see Boston/Cambridge downtown next day, I do not need to stay at a beautiful place(hotel). Just one night sleep at a nice/clean property.

Here is my preference: 1) newest (clean/nice) property... doesn't have to be a 3-4 star. As long as it is newer/nice/clean I will prefer to stay there, 2) prefer a large space (like suite) because we are family of four w/kids, 3) pool is required for my kids, 4) prefer a place who serves nice breakfast (I am HH gold member)

Second, I need another location (property) on the way back to Boston from New York trip. I have one extra day to spend. I am not sure where I go and stay (other than Boston/NYC). I probably prefer a resort style property at a port/beach or similar. I initially thought Cape Cod, or Newport beach. But, I don't know if there is a good property over there.

My preferences: 1) a great location (a nice, comfortable location good for relax), 2) nice property <at least 3 star or over> (again, newer is preferred) at a good location, 3) pool is required, as always, 4) a good hotel for possible upgrade (for Gold member) and nice breakfast

I really appreciate your help in advance.
Thank you.

I just stayed at suburban Boston with my wife last weekend, using an HHnonors award. We stayed at the Hampton Inn in Braintree (About 12-15 miles south of Boston)
Nice, clean property, looked pretty new and plenty of decent restaurants in a 2-3 mile radius.

I just stayed at the Summerville Suites in Waltham--a Wyndham property. I was originally booked at the Doubletree Bayside, but I opted for Summerville Suites because of free internet, free breakfast, free parking. For Wyndham by request, they left some amenities and upgraded my room to a two-bedroom suite. I think it's a perfect place for a family. It has two real bedrooms, two bathrooms, three tv's, and a kitchen. Breakfast buffet is quite complete and kids will like it. There's a pool, too. Not expensive. Close to freeway.

The homewood suites in Billerica is a great property, if you get an upgrade you end up in a room that can sleep ten (two bedrooms with two doubles, and a pull out couch for another two). It's less then 20 miles from Boston.

HHonors has nothing on Cape Cod. In Newport, there is a Hampton a mile or so from the center. Nice enough but not the real Newport experience. Hilton Mystic Ct should fit the bill for this stop on way back. Right off 95, there are beaches nearby, a couple casinos, an aquarium, and its on the water. Mystic CT is worth walking around to kill a couple hours.
