DeacDiggler Jun 14, 05, 2:46 pm Go to the *A website and download/install the "downloadable timetables". Then go to city/airport timetable in the software....input boston as your from and select "all airports" in the to: field. That should give you all *A flights out of Boston. Have fun. markbach Jun 14, 05, 2:58 pm According to the Downloadable Timetable (http://www.trvlink.com/download/us/usaschedules.pdf)... That's easier. :) SkyTeam777 Jul 21, 05, 4:26 pm I read somewhere that Boston service from GSO is being cut, can anyone confirm this? and why? These flights are usually full, and I was assuming profitable... Jones3 Jul 21, 05, 4:44 pm I read somewhere that Boston service from GSO is being cut, can anyone confirm this? and why? That's the first I've heard of BOS-GSO being dropped, but if the online timetables are correct, the route is indeed gone as of Sept. 16. That's very, very disappointing as I travel between those two points quite frequently. As noted above, the flights always seemed to have very respectable loads, and they aren't exactly giving tickets away these days, so I figured they were making money on the route. This is not a good move as far as US's position in GSO is concerned. I believe that DL passed US a while back in terms of the number of passengers boarded there, and now DL will be running the only non-stop service to BOS from GSO (2x RJ, the same as US's current service). fdex727 Jul 21, 05, 7:29 pm GSO IS gone, but look for DL to add another flight as the yields on this route are decent and the loads do warrant. This will not likely happen before DL moves to the new North Terminal addition is opened in October. I guess this means they'll probably kill the GSO club, too. I guess it's a matter of when and not if. :( sbtinme Jul 21, 05, 9:13 pm The GSO-BOS leg cancellation was announced last week in numerous fora. Nevertheless, US is keeping mum about the club there -- for now. But, if we are all being fully realistic, do any of us REALLY expect the GSO club to remain open in the foreseeable years? It's got to be fairly hard to defend at this point. GSO is a true shadow of itself a decade back. Don't misunderstand me -- I LOVE GSO and have remarkably great memories of many flights over the years in and out of there. A good pal of mine still works the front line for US there....lots of old PI employees still hanging on by a thread. SkyTeam777 Jul 22, 05, 8:43 am Lots of CLT flyers (who drive to GSO) and GSO-based flyers use the club (many DL/UA pax too!), which is the former PI club. They already have a small roster of club cities. But, I can see the club operating on a smaller budget... Does the airport subsidize the club? Don't people expect US to add more flights/destinations once the HP merger comes through? |
