Why is that a good thing for the customer or employee?
When my company went public, the environment totally changed for the worse. We became focused on profits, rather than providing a superior customer experience / product and growing our employees.

Rental car company like Avis and Budget are currently owned by Cendent (CD)which have stock. As news reports say Hertz actually owns only 75% of there cars low overhead. Interestly enough Hertz and Avis can both operate by charging the same rates and profit. Hertz has expanded to the local market over the past few years. Also have added new cars to the fleet. All from customers request. I think it's going to be business as always with Hertz and letting the public have a slice of there success. I'm interested in knowing as an employee how it's going to effect me.
