Hertz - which would you choose: GM/CV vs Ford Explorer/Envoy

I will be in BOS later this month. I see that both a CV/GM and a Ford Explorer/Envoy price out the same. I am looking for something to hold 4 pax (2 adults, 2 children) and luggage (1 stroller, 1 28" uprighter, 1 rollaboard, 1 large Outdoor Products duffel, couple of small backpacks).

I would usually go for the CV/GM. But am in a mood to try something different. Shoudl I consider the Ford Explorer/Envoy?

Will it hold above luggage? I am guessing its more thirsty compared to a CV/GM.

It should hold the luggage, fine.

A CV/GM is about as long and wide as an Explorer/Tahoe, so in terms of parking and manuvering, it's probably a toss-up. Fuel economy is probably worse for the SUV, I imagine.
