Its economy, so do not expect too much. The noticeable difference versus US based carriers is the lack of curmudgeons among the cabin staff. I'd advise getting an Ambien rx to sleep thru the flight.

IF you an AAdvantage Platinum or EXP, you can use the Wing or the Pier in HKG. Both are great lounges and are well worth the stopover.

If you are not AA Platinum, consider doing a platinum challenge with AA (search the AA forum), assuing you are on a mileage earning fare with CX.

We can see that from your many posts and questions here and in the Thai forum. Most, if not all, of these have already been answered many times in previous posts.

You can learn alot from the questions that have already been asked and answered. Spend some time playing with the search function. If you have specific questions after reading the results, ask and someone is bound to answer.

As it had been mentioned before, the attitude of the cabin crew would be differnet to an US carrier (guess its an Asian thing).

But keep in mind that you are flying in Y, so don't expect too much, but since yo are flying in from JFK (assuming you are taking the direct service), you would flying on the A346 with a fresher cabin (with slimline seats that makes it more roomy) and a larger PTV unit.

Have a look here (http://www.cathaypacific.com/intl/inflight/class/0,,31991,00.html) for further details.

Enjoy your flight with CX!

ARe you on the 889 or 831 to HKG? 889 stops in YVR so you get an extra meal:
4 in total - Dinner, Late Dinner, Snack, Breakfast
The 831 is really not a comfortable flight to be in esp in Y Class!
