we have about 180k usair miles/points, and would like to fly from tlv-pbi, but we will need to purchase 3 youth or children's seats too. any idea how to do this for best in ease, itinerary, and cost? thanks, former phillywoman

Find the award avail, and then purchase the mileage tickets. I would think the award avail is going to be harder to find than telling the airline to take your money.

I think it is 75,000 or 80,000 miles to fly United States to/from TLV in coach using Star Alliance carriers -- Air Canada or Lufthansa. After hearing how tight the security is on Lufthansa flights to TLV through Frankfurt, I opted for Air Canada's Toronto --> Tel Aviv flight for this upcoming November. I blew 115K miles for a biz class ticket.
