I need to rent a car from Hertz for an upcoming trip. But i don't need a car right when I arrive at CDG, I will be staying in the Hilton ADT, so most likely take a taxi out there.
But the next day I want to drive to the wine country(Bordeaux). So want to rent a car, but should I go back to the CDG for rental or is there a
hertz rental place near the Hilton ADT?
thanks

why don't you go to Bordeaux by TGV highspeed train. (3hours instead of 5 or 6 by car - and with toll for highways and gas, it's even cheaper)
there is a Hertz office at the main rail station at Bordeaux.

hertz.com => locations cars & more => locations => France => Paris =. Pick from several dozen locations.

What is the name of the Hertz office at the rail station? I went to the Hertz website and there is 2 rental office at Bordeaux....Which one is the rail station that the TGV stops at?

When I am looking at the hertz website, the only locations for Bordeaux are:
Saint Laurent des Vignes - Route de Bordeaux
Bias - Route de Bordeaux
which one is the railway station?
thanks.
Look again.
There is a 'Bordeaux - Gare Saint Jean - Railway Station' location. That's the one you want.
(or just enter BODX90 in the location box).

The train sounds like a decent idea, given the tolls and fuel prices and such.
If you decide that you want to drive, I think that the Porte Maillot location is closest to the Hilton Arc de Triomphe. It's at 27 Rue St. Ferdinand, located a little west of the hotel.
I haven't rented at that location before, because I just wanted to drive in from CDG. Warning that the hotel charges 35 Euros/day for parking -- so that adds up.
If you are looking for GPS guideance in France don't miss my earlier post on that topic.
