Here's a big mystery: No more 767 flying to SJU/CUN/STT/MCO. So...with DUB/SNN/GLA/BCN/VCE service ending, where will US be putting these birds? Also, PHL-MAD now has year round A-330 service. Where is US getting the extra plane? As far as I can tell looking at the 11/12/05 schedule, there are no cities losing airbus flights... Maybe USAIRWAYS FAN has some insight on this since he goes to MAD alot...

I have actually started going to PHL straight to BCN now and bypassing MAD. However, I will be going to BCN on June 26 and coming back to DCA on June 30th and it will be my last trip to Spain for a long time as my tour to Spain is coming to an end. :( But what I can do is ask at BCN as the station managers from BCN and MAD talk all the time.

Question for you sfeinberg....how do you pull all these changes up? Do you type in all the airport codes or is there a place where you can find all this stuff?

Thanks for the info sfeinberg. We fly to AGP via MAD three times a year to our timeshare and it's nice to learn that US is utilizing the A330 year round. The A330 is a nicer plane, especially when one UGs to Envoy.

And just how did you glean all of this useful info?

One possibility is that some of the 767s are scheduled for routine heavy maintenance during the fall months. Didn't some European city get downgraded to a 767 for part of last winter when one or more A330s were in for similar checks?

I do see a CLT-CUN 767 flight randomly checking Nov 1, and on the same date they currently say they're keeping a 767 on PHL-BDA, which I'll have to see to believe - traffic calms down on that route as you get deeper into fall. Two 767s are also used on PHL-CLT (one each way) during the afternoon rush, and 767s are going to Europe on PHL-MUC and the first of the two daily PHL-FRA.

So I dunno. Doesn't look like FLL is getting any 767s either.

how did I get this information? Let's just say it was the middle of the night, I couldn't sleep, and had the time to type lots and lots of city codes.

It appears from the schedule change that I just received that the LAX-PIT redeye is down to a 320 as well. And, which is worse, it's GONE on Saturday and some Sunday nights, starting with Labor Day weekend!

Grr...there better be some good alternatives to that.
