Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - Itinerary viewer

I have tried my CX 6 letter booking reference with both checkmytrip.com and viewtrip.com, and neither of them will show a booking for my upcoming CX trips!
Am I doing something wrong here? Checkmytrip.com has worked in the past for my QF flights. I really only want it to check other pax seating- to make sure that there is no-one sitting next to me :p
Is there another site I should use to try and view CX bookings?

How about www.virtuallythere.com ?
CX locators are in 5 digits. I think they start with either K or H.
(Your travel agent or airline apparently made a reservation using a computer reservation system different from CX's. There is usually a duplicate CX 5-digit locator that matches your 6-digit locator.)
You can also check your itinerary on www.cathaypacific.com but you need to join AsiaMiles and enter your AsiaMiles membership number in the record. If you do not want to earn AsiaMiles, change the FFP number to the one you like when you check in.
You can also check your itinerary on www.cathaypacific.com but you need to join AsiaMiles and enter your AsiaMiles membership number in the record. Do you also need to be "a registered user of Online Booking"? I can't login to retrieve a booking or update my profile, but I am able to login and dummy-book a flight.

I would love to find a place to do this too, have quite a few CX segments coming up, booked on several different locators. The 5 character CX locator I don't think works anywhere-- (not virtuallythere, checkmytrip, etc.) Only thing that I was told works is the aforementioned CX page w/ asiamiles in record. I wish it was possible to view-- especially in the case of wait-lists, etc.
You have to use the Amadeus reference no for the Checkmytrip.com web site. Your CX booking no. is only good with CX so you must obtain the Amadeus no or reservation code.

If you book directly w/ CX, is there automatically an Amadeus PNR as well?

Have you tried calling CX to ask for it (since you have CX segments booked)? That will help answer the question reasonably quickly.

Just call CX and ask; I would do it and get you an answer, but I don't have such CX segments booked to share my findings.
Do you want the phone number for CX in Hong Kong or the US?
[Just tell them your flight number, date and name, and I'm sure they will be as helpful as they can be. ;) ]

Ooooooh, that's -so- sweet of you! Look at how you take care of me.
I did call them last night and they had no idea what I was talking about (but, of course, they were extremely polite and apologetic about it. :))

What's your flight number, date of scheduled travel, with which firm did you book your ticket, and what's the record locator as supplied to you by the booking agent?
[And no need for TOS violations. Unlike others, I am not here to "score points" in the desire to run up the post count to hit the 10,000 counter. :D ]

What-- you mean post all that here?? You're a little nuttier this morning than usual, no? Gee-- thanks for all your "help" so far ("call the airline"-- real helpful) but I'll pass. Thanks for the lecture as well. Please feel free to resume your OMNI trolling, since you have nothing useful to contribute here.

Sounds like a possible TOS violation. An edit or two may have some benefits. (And there are various means to convey that information, but forget it.)
So much for willing to try to help.

5 years ??? Don't you mean 5 months?
Yes.. as long as you have your asiamiles number on your reservation, you may view it on the MPC website.
