I am an AA EXP. Was flying HKG-SFO last week in business (I fare from India-Singapore). Upper deck was full. Another lady was sitting in my seat. FA came to me and whispered that they had tried to page me earlier (I was in the lounge till the last minute) and had been upgraded to F.

I have noticed a lot of involuntary upgrades to F from J on CX recently. I fly a lot of D, A and I class fares on CX and they probably have some info but I usually use AA for my OW flts.

Service in F was excellent as usual. I had ordered a special meal HNML and it was proprely upgraded to F. In the past when AA or BA had upgraded me from J to F they did not upgrade the special meals (I was offered J special meals or F regular meals). Being HKG originating flt, the special meals may have been easier to upload.

And one for me too. Today flying HKG-LAX my J boarding pass was rejected at the gate and a new seat number hand written onto my BP. I was a little worried when she crossed out my J aisle seat, but was veyr happy to see her write 4A in its place.

Today flying HKG-LAX ... 4A ...

Ah, NM, good to see that CX is treating another QF PLats similarly well to DrD and myself ;)

Not too shabby on a trans-Pac, CX First, is it? :)

Very pleasant indeed. I love the salmon ^ . The dim sum for breakfast was very good too - not mu usual breakfast choice, but I just felt like a change.

Oh yes, and the Krug, JW Blue and Glenfiddich Ancient Reserve go down well too. Good to hear Dr D is also enjoying the inflight service.
