Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - QF domestic to CX- MEL connection time

I have to go back to LST for my brother's wedding in November, and I have limited travelling time.

I want to travel with either the OZ operated QF codeshare, or CX and connect in MEL. The flights from ICN-MEL-LST are fine.

On the return, the one QF flight a day from LST-MEL leaves at 0630, arriving at 0730. The CX flight leave MEL at 0850.

If I check through in LST (as they are OW partners), will this connection be possible? Sadly we will be in economy, but with only hand luggage. If this connection is not possible, we will have to take either the OZ operated flight, via SYD, or SQ flights as they have a very good schedule for this quick 3 day visit.

Thanks for your help.

Might actually be better to post this in the QF forum but I'd say you have plenty of time. Unlike most other Australian capital city airports, MEL's domestic and int'l terminals are joined (or one and the same) so there's no interterminal transfer. You simply walk from your domestic gate to the international gate (going through passport control and security) assuming you have BPs for the CX flight. Shouldn't take more than 5-10 minutes if there's no queues.

Thanks. I also posted this in the QF forum, but I thought that there was a chance someone here had made a short connection to CX through MEL, to see if it could be done.
