I happened to find this. But, have not tried it. just wondering if it works.

Enjoy a two car class upgrade on your weekend or weekly rental and receive a discount too. Mention this offer, your Hertz discount CDP# 205521 and PC# 958311 when reserving and renting a midsize/intermediate or special sporty class car (Class C or D). If a car from the next two higher classes is available, you¿ll be driving it at the discounted lower car class rate. Surrender this coupon at the time of rental.

Book online at hertz.com, call your travel agent, or call Hertz at 1-888-999-7125.

Advance reservations are required as blackout periods may apply. This offer is redeemable at participationg Hertz locations in the U.S. and Canada and is subject to vehicle availability. Hightest obtainable upgrade is to a premium class vehicle (Class G). This coupon has no cash value, must be surrendered on rental and may not be used with any other CDP#, coupon, discount, rate or promotion. Hertz standard driver and credit qualifications for the renting location apply and the car must be returned to that location. Minimum rental age is 25 (exceptions apply). Call for details.

That link takes one to a page for the Entertainment book. Methinks one would need to purchase a copy and also present the membership card at the rental location.

on hertz.com click on Special Offers -> Business Account Program you will find a link to the double upgrade coupon with PC# 924921 (valid till October 1) which is applicable to any CDP for both weekend and weekly rentals. It works quite well !

Has anyone had any luck with this coupon? Getting upgraded from a midsize to a convertible or the like?

Dont know about convertibles but my upgrade was from a mid-size to Toyota Highlander in DTW
