there is a fantastic thread which is stickied on top of the SW forum which lists a lot of car rental codes for better than 0.5 credits. You'll find most of them are for Hertz rentals, and there are quite a few ongoing offers. Many of such codes also give some 10-25% disconuts over regular rates.
I've found that most but not all of the times, the rates I get booking on Hertz.com are similar or better than those I find on the normal booking engines, except that with the promo codes from the thread I end up with at least 2x credits per rental, if not 4.5 credits.
I'm very happy with the SW/Hertz combination and hope it stays this way.
This may not address your direct request for deep discounts, but will at least give you more credits.
