Hertz - AAA Neverlost Discount on a #1 Gold Club Reservation

On the AAA Website (http://ww2.aaa.com/misc/HertzAAAMemberBenefits.html?association=AAA#hertz9 ) it states that:

$1 Per Day Off NeverLost®
AAA members receive a $1 per day discount off the use of Hertz' in-car navigational system, NeverLost. (U.S. & Canada Only).

If I rent a car with a neverlost on a AAA CDP, will the discount automatically be applied on a #1 Gold Club Reservation when I pick up the car?

...Or do I have to go to the counter to show my AAA card?

I have never ever been asked to show my AAA card by Hertz or all the hotels too. Kind of weird. :confused:
