Hertz - Using points to get a car for my wife

I know that from prior experience that I cannot use Hertz points for a free rental for someone other than myself. But would that apply to my wife?
We are heading out to Portland, OR, but she will be there a couple days before me. Can we use points for a free rental and have her pick up the car?
Anyone done this before?
