Hertz - Accident with Hertz car
I managed to run a Hertz rental car into a concrete post while on business travel on 5/17. A Dent in the drivers side font fender and lots of bright yellow paint from the post on front fender and quarter panel side. Filled out a accident report when a turned the car in at the Cleveland Airport Hertz Lot. Hertz rep says "someone will contact you in a few days". It's been two weeks and no contact. There is no phone # to call on the accident report form to see what is going on. I need to find out about the cost of damage so my employer can submit to our insurance company. Who can I call to do a follow up?
I believe the Hertz claims department that handles Cleveland is 412-928-2000
Good luck trying to get someone to return your calls though.
They sent the damage report and estimate automatically after around 4-5 weeks.

I had an accident on " the 5" in So Cal. Got hit from behind, 100% the other persons fault. It took about 5 weeks for initial contact. I had already written up a summary of what took place as well as contacted the CHIPs to get he police report.
As soon as I provided these, as the accident was 100% NOT my fault, they never contacted me again.
That's all I can report. But I would adise you to write it down while it's still relativelky fresh. By the time they contacted me, when I read my report I was surprised at how much detail I had forgotten about.

I had an accident in February this year. I was driving along a two lane road in central London and a bus was partly in the road ahead, as I passed it some mad man drove around the inside of the bus and tried to turn around it in the same direction. Needless to say it ploughed straight in to me.
Anyway, I have not heard a single thing from Hertz.
