Hertz at JFK rented me a car with an expired inspection sticker!
I noticed it the next day (before a traffic cop did), and got them to swap the cars. What a pain....
Moral of the story: When you pick up a car, you don't just need to look it over for pre-existing damage. You also need to make sure that the car is street legal - up to date registration and inspection stickers, or you could wind up with a ticket.
Sigh!

JFK = not a surprise. I always have a problem with the car or service when I pick up there. This is the location where the front desk person once said (my reservation was processed wrong so Gold didn't work) "I could care less about Hertz..."

Do all Hertz vehicles in every state have an inspection sticker?
I have rented from Hertz for years and I have never looked at the tabs or registration. Maybe I should start!!!
