Flying Blue (Air France, KLM, and Other Partners) - No more Indian Airlines credit in FB?

Having just received my new FB kit (in French, for some reason), it appears as though Indian Airlines (IC) is no longer included as a mileage earning partner, apparently replaced by Jet Airways (9W). Curiously, it is still possible to redeem awards on IC, while earning and redemption on Air India appears unchanged.

Any ideas as to what is behind this curious development?

Check the FB link on one of the websites. I believe that the information has changed since the printing of the book.

It is possible to redeem miles on IA and AI. I have booked some redemptions for July and there was no issue. A couple of changes:
a) No more one-way redemptions allowed (earlier it was possible).
b) Earlier the one-way was only 7,500 miles but now its 10,000 (If i am not wrong)

The reason for earning miles could be to ensure some advantage. AF-IA and KLM-Jet was fine as long as AF and KLM were separate. But once they join, one of them had to go.. I wonder how long before the redemption benefits go as well :-(

Both Indian Airlines and Jet Airways will be possible in Jet Blue for redeeming and collecting. Only Jet will not produce level miles anymore (as it was before at KLFD).

I guess both Air India and Indian Airlines are gone. Mention of Air France is also gone from the Air India web-site leaving Lufthansa as the only international airline partner.

But they are included in the Flying Blue redemption charts linked on here last week.

It does look like both Air India and Indian Airlines are out for earning purposes.

Apparently you can still redeem on both.

But something interesting I noticed in the Earn Miles with Airline Partners section under Jet Airways:
"For an individual public fare included in the program with 9W, AF or KL flight numbers,... "
"A un tarif public individuel pris en compte dans le programme sous numéro de vol 9W, AF, ou KL"

This is too bad. I guess I'll have to figure out where/how best to credit some of these flights. :(

well, to be perfectly honest am I actually glad 9W is in as exclusive partner and not Indian Airlines. Both would be better (or even also AI). But after all is 9W still the best choice in India.

Could all this have something to do with the introduction of the new DL (AF ST partner) flight between Paris and Chennai?

Nothing at all. Air India and Lufthansa launched a comprehensive partnership in August 2004 and AI provided AF with the notice to terminate the AI-AF partnership at that time. Coincidentally, that period ended on May 31, so the AI-AF partnership ended before FB came into being. IC/AI share the same FFP, so unfortunately for IC users, AF no longer remains an option.
