Newsstand - Senate briefly recesses after another plane scare

WASHINGTON - The Senate recessed for a brief period Monday night after an unidentified plane entered Washington's restricted airspace, two weeks after another airplane caused emergency evacuations of the White House and Capitol.

As I was driving into my Silver Spring, MD neighborhood around 6 pm tonight, I heard jets overhead and saw a few people looking up and pointing. After I got home, I called my wife and daughter out into the yard and we saw one of the F16s flying around for a minute or so. My daughter is now two for two, having seen F16's and the blackhawk helicopter over her school during gym class when the last plane violated the restricted airspace.
