Would the annual amount spent with a Starwood AMEX count for total spending towards an invite for Centurion or is it just the "regular" AMEX cards?

My recomendation would be if you really want it call AMEX and verify that the card will work have them "note that you called". Then charge $250K as fast as you can, so you don't get caught in a change of the rules. :p

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE STOP.

ANY personal amex card can count towards a personal amex Centurion. Just remember you must charge and PAY to count.

What about blue cash? ?? Hmm?? :D

When I called a few months back they said "usually only platinum cards qualify, but we are currently allowing other cards that meet the spend/pay off"

So...I dunno when (if ever) it is platinum only...certainly a few months ago any card would do...However, I would call and verify esp if you are going to move 250K on to the card (you don't just normally spend that on your AMEX).

Yes, I was told all Amex cards count.

Yes, all personal cards count. One trick is that all of the non-platinum cards' customer service have been trained to redirect Centurion eniquiries to the Platinum line, and may in fact have been told that you must have Platinum. If you actually call Platinum without having one, they'll act like "why are you calling us?" and might also tell you that you need a Platinum. Once you meet the spending requirement, if you don't have a platinum, call Centurion customer service directly and explain the situation. They'll take care of it on the spot.

As far as I know, if you want to apply for a Personal Centurion card, you can use all your Personal card accounts with Amex for qualification. For example, if you have a Gold Card, Starwood, and Delta card, you can combine all your balances to meet the spending requirement. Same goes with Open Small Business, but the balances must be on Open Small Business card accounts.
