ORLANDO, Fla. -- Orlando International Airport is planning changes that could speed up travel and save travelers money along the way.
The changes would make Orlando a model for other airports, WESH 2 News reported.
They include special security cards to speed travelers through checkpoints, moving airline check-in off airport property, relocating equipment and staff that check bags for bombs and radical changes at the ticket counters.
Off airport check-in? A model for other airports?
No, thanks. Off airport rental car facilities is enough of a pain.

"To create more room, OIA will move bomb-detection equipment below the airport to a network of carousels and X-ray machines. Officials said that should allow travelers and their bags to get through security quicker.
Another program will move passengers even faster. Under the Known Traveler program, people who are willing to pay a fee for a federal criminal background check will be issued a special ID card with a little chip inside containing a lot of information about them."
Screw that.
No Shoe Carnival, No ID checks, no Sharp and Pointy Object Search, no pat downs, no haraSSSSment and NO TSA.
Private screeners with sensible screening policies. That's what MCO and every other American airport should do.

Oh good, another airport that is going to allow TSA personnel access to passengers checked unlocked bags away from passengers view.
