American Express Membership Rewards - Amex's Entertainment Division

A while ago, I read a post on this board that American Express has an "Entertainment Division." One of the responsibilities of the department is approving the issuance of Amex Cards to celebrities, including the "Black Card."

My questions is what constitutes a "Celebrity?" and what else does the Entertainment Division do?

Most large organisations have divisions for very important/influential/ people and celebrities. In Orange for example these details are stored on a separate database and monitored to see who access them etc...

If you need to ask, then you aren't a celebrity :p
