US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-FlightFund Merger) - Booking United with USAir miles....Sigh

Is anyone else out there kicking themselves like I am? I booked summer award travel on United with our USAir miles thinking I was "protecting" them in case of "USAir's imminent demise". Now it looks as if I'd made a mistake and that I'll be worrying more about a July United flight than a July USAir flight. Sigh.

You worry too much! Everything should be fine and in the very unlikely chance that something happens to UA, your miles get sent right back to your account is US can't accomodate you!

I didn't know I'd get my miles back. (although to be truthful I'd rather take my vacation to San Francisco.)

I'm in the same boat and we're going to OGG/LIH/KOA so US isn't an option. Fingers crossed UA is flying in August.

I got UA tickets to HNL next January, and even had to pay to redeposit miles from another bad decision on award tickets (I had first class reward tickets to Las Vegas, I don't know what the heck I was thinking). Guess airline tickets are much as a gamble as Vegas :)
