Miles & More (Lufthansa, Austrian, Swiss, and other partners) - New Headsets for LH's new C-Class!

am just sitting on the A340-600 "Bremerhaven" (D-AIHB) on my way to GRU. It seems LH finally gave in to the request by their pax. My seat neighbour has a different headset then I have, the guy in front of me another one...after asking the purser it was confirmed...LH is actually trying out new IFE equipment after the complaints of bad handling with the new headsets (in my experience they always tended to roll from your head). Anyway, the new ones... got one on request by now.... a Sennheiser P/N HDC055-4130...fits much better.

That's good news. I am always wearing them the wrong arround, otherwise they keep on falling off.

While at it they should also change the plug. Trying to plug in my own headphones is always a little tricky. If my hand was only slightly bigger it would be impossible to reach to the bottom of the compartment.

it would be even better if LH could finally get their new C class on all routes. Quite honestly, I am more worreid about my seat than about the headset. From to CPT we are kept guessing if we get the honour of a new C-class product or not (some flights are, some aren't). For the time being, I am avoiding LH for that reason. With BA,KL I at least now what I get - nevermind the headsets,

There is also an obvious problem with the software... All controls are sooo slow, images do not always display (you get those "X"'s - not XXX's :D) They told me they were working on that (a week ago, ORD-MUC). Hope it gets faster. I'm far from being a big fan of IFE, but when I use it it'd better work... Other than that and the magic you need to do to plug the headsets, new C is really cool! It made me change my travel patterns.

Was told by the purser in charge yesterday, that Rockwell Collins got a large claim pending from LH. On the return from GRU, even the airshow didn't work....

Last week things were "just" very slow, as they were during the 4 times I have been in the new C so far. Not normal of course! But compared to my first trip ever out of ORD a couple of months ago it was an improvement: On one of the few times in my life I wanted to watch a movie, out of a sudden everything just stopped! Black! No airshow, no ...nothing for 3 hours or so. I politely asked what was going on and I took the answer "they are working on that" etc. But I didn't make it an issue, IFE is not even remotely the main reason I prefer the new C...
But this difference in performance probably led me to the conclusion that indeed "they are working on that"! I couldn't imagine that "they are working on that" ...claim!
