When I get txt messages from some people in the UK, their number comes up as
XXXXXXXXXX@intl.reply.net.

If I use the "reply" function on my Treo to reply, it does not look like they receive the txt message at all.

Has anyone ran into this problem? Do I have to remove the @intl.reply.net to make sure that they get it or is the text somehow routed through an email address?

Depends on your provider and their provider... For example, AT&T Wireless has a list of international providers that they have agreement with, in which you could send a text message (SMS) to any subscribers of those int'l providers listed for $0.25/message. The format would be "+<country code><area Code><number>". Not sure if this answers your question, but thought I would point it out.
