I need to buy Adobe Premiere Elements for a project at work, but I fully expect it not to function very well on the machine I need to use it, so I need to be able to return it if that's the case. Now, I suspect most places have policies that if the software is opened they won't take it back (prevents piracy). Are there any outlets that will let me return it if I try it out and it sucks on my machine?

Just test the free product tryout:

I don't know of a single vendor that will let you return software after it has been opened.

Try Microcenter. It's a midwest chain with an online presence Microcenter.com.

Oh fantastic! And that actually looks like it's a complete version (at 500mb it should be!). Thanks!
