Just got an e-mail from HHonors (I'm Diamond), looks like an excellent offer and should be easily doable, there was no special promotional code given so I assume I'm automatically signed up for it (targeted offer?)

Yesterday I received a targeted promotion for 40,000 bonus points for 4 stays before June 30. Just completed two stays last week-ES in Lake Tahoe and HI at RDU that should qualify, so getting two more stays before June 30 is no problem. I think this is the best promotion that I have received from HH.

Apparently there are many different promotional offers. I got one which I get to choose among the following:

triple bonus points
doulbe bonus points plus miles
1 free night for every 5 nights stay (up to 3 free nights)

Once a selection is made, it is not changeable. If you use 3 free nights at catagory 6 hotels, which costs 40000 HH points, then they are worth 120000 points. I just booked at the Chicago Drake Hotel. Very nice!

That´s a very nice bonus offer you got - congratulations! western50 has an even better one, and "all" I got was a double points - double miles bonus, but, hey, I am enjoying and getting more than I bargained.

Are these coming by email, online account page or with a quarterly statement? 24 stays doesn't make me a road warrior but Gold nonetheless. Wondered how they are notifying you guys of these offers.

I received the stay 5, get 50,000 points offer (the only offer that I have received in quite a while).

The only thing that impressed me on this promo was that the 50,000 points posted in conjunction with my credit for my fifth stay. ^

I guess this is a continuation of the other offers folks have been getting -- ranging from free nights to double points to whatever.

I'm a Diamond and never got notified of anything, but calling and whining worked for me. :) If it wasn't for FT, I'd have never heard about it.

I think most of us are getting these offers as e-mails. But some of us are not getting any offer at all :eek:. The good news it seems some are calling and complaining they have been left out of the loop, and are being signed up for a promo.

What I´d do is check this and similar threads, decide which one would work best for me, and call. Perhaps I´d say "I know of several members of a group I belong to that have received some very nice promos, and I feel a bit left out as a valued HH frequent guest - can you please sign me up for the WXYZ promo."

I was sent a Gold membership and a 50k promo last year for being a NWA Plat, and finished up by the end of January this year. I signed up for the email promos, but have gotten nothing like the promos that are mentioned here. Am I limited since I only have 6 stays this year, or should I call to get some of the promotions? (80k would work for me.) :)

I'm not getting any of these kinds of offers, either. I am signed up for HHonors emails, but the Japanese version, and so I'm getting Japanese HHonors/HHotels offers. (My fault, I thought since I was living in Japan, it made more sense to get the Japanese offers. Dumb me.) And what offers! "DoubleJ, stay at the Hilton (input name of a Japanese city here), pay triple rack rate and get a free cola!" or "DoubleJ, sign up for the Hilton-branded credit card @ $200 a year for life and get 1,000 HHonor points!" :mad: Yeah, I know, I'm exaggerating...but not by much!

Time to change my email preferences...

I'm with you. I'm diamond this year and haven't heard hide nor hair from HH about any offers. I've currently got 24 stays this year with 56 nights since January and 28 stays with 83 nights since November of last year. Nothing comes my way for any promotions. I think now that I have diamond sewn up and I think I'll wander off for a while. Maybe then I might get a few bonus offers. I've called in an asked very nicely and nothing.

Does anyone know if leaving Hilton all together would help get me targeted?

I was originally under the impression that I need to make 8 stays from now to 6/30/05 but it looks like the system counts back to 3/21/05. I've alreay got 6 stays since 3/21 and have 2 more booked already for May so it'll be no problem to have 8 stays. It's curious that HHonors would send me a e-mail informing me of the offer now, since there's no need to get signed up.

I wonder if HHonors tracks how many promotional offers you get targeted for, I've been Diamond for the past 4 years and this is the second big bonus offer I have received, last one was the stay 4 times, get 50,000 points thing from 2? years ago. Have gotten a couple of double base points offers but nothing this big, but hey I'm not complaining ;)

If you are in a Hilton hotel hundreds of nights a year, Hilton already "owns" your loyalty, so they see no reason to bribe you to stay with them when you already do all the time. :)

So yes, leaving them and going somewhere else would probably help, but you also need to weigh how many points you'd be giving up by staying at another chain's properties while you wait for HHonnors to notice your diminished stay patterns and start "bribing" you again.

Losing out on 160,000 points due to "diverted" stays to earn 80,000 points in bonuses might not be the best of ideas. ;)

Then again, program diversity can be good.

I wanted this promo but found out I was signed up for double points instead. I called and politely asked to be changed to the 8/80k promo. I attempted this SEVERAL times but was turned down each time. I ended up with the 5/10/15 nights gets 1/2/3 free nights promo but the nights for that only started counting the day they applied the promo to my account.

By the way -- I assume that award stays/nights count for these promos. Does anyone know for sure?

Your post of U.S. properties only, however, is interesting as some of my planned 15 nights are outside the U.S. I'll have to find out the details of the promo I'm on to see if it contains the same restrictions. My offer of 40,000 points for 4 stays was for any Hilton family hotel worldwide.

I dont know of anyone here in oz that received any offers at all. :(
Anyone have a number as I see a few of you have called up and asked for some of the promos. im aout to embark on a hilton run so any help appreciated.

The HHonors service centre in Oz certainly knows about the promos (the NZ number diverts to Oz) - so someone local must be getting them.

My stays have all been outside US and counted. Includes Hiltons and other brands. All seem to have counted.

Must be. I too never get any offers. Guess they figure why bother if you are going to stay there anyways.

I don't get any offers either. Maybe it's because of the no email options I usually select for everything to cut down the spam. As a eight year diamond, I've found it does pay to call sometimes. Thanks to the FT posts and the great folks at the Diamond desk, I am now enrolled in the 8/80K promo. However it is not retro. Although I am at this Holiday Inn Express in Anderson, SC for three days, I will book two HH stays this week in Illinois and try to squeeze 6 more stays in the midst of the Priority Club points promo that started yesterday, which I think is actually more lucrative than this HH promo. I look at this promo as just getting the HWV award back down to the old reward level for a week stay.
