Hilton HHonors - Easy Gold Upgrade Not In HH Computer

I cashed in on the CTCH promo and my profile at hhonors.com says I'm gold. However, I just called a Hilton where I'll be staying next week to inquire about getting upgraded to Exec floor and they say their screen shows I'm silver. I printed out the accounts page showing my gold status. Do you think that's going to be enough to get gold benefits? Anything else I should do?

I had the same issue last weekend- when I made the reservation I was silver & when I got there and checked in the paperwork said I was still Silver even though the website said Gold.

Since the hotel was booked-I wasnt looking for an upgrade but wanted to make sure I got my bonus points....

I just told the lady on check in-oh I haven't gotten my new card & it says that I am gold on the website-and she told me no problem-it just hadn't updated in there system yet....so she updated it and it WAS on the bill on check out w/ my bonus points...


so..IMO-you should be fine w/ the print out...also I would put that on the instruction page (or whatever that is when you make a reservation..blanking out right now) but put there you want an upgrade if available....

FWIW, right after I did the CTCG code mine still showed Silver on the webpage after logging in, but viewing "My Account" showed Gold. The ES I stayed in the following night listed me as silver. The next week's stay at another property (still ES) listed me as gold. I think it just takes a while for your status to either update or propagate.

Propagate (sic) ... does that mean my Gold will turn to DIAMOND soon? ;)

I would have to say ... free Diamond Status... would really piss off the HHonors regular customers. Wish they kept a count of how many comps a person received.... and maybe limited it.... Not certain, but seems like a free for all

Apparently my status has been upgraded in the HH system in general, not just my accounts page. I got an email yesterday from the Hilton where I'll be staying Friday confirming my Gold status. I'd already spoken with front desk and was told that the hotel was virtually sold out for Friday, so, I'm not expecting to get on the exec floor but I would expect to get a key for it.

Which attracts and keeps customers for Hilton so everyones happy. :D ^


That does not bother me too much... just get concerned if the GOLD level grows to much the treatment of Golds will be diluted. I am getting closer to Diamond (I believe 7 or 8 nights)... so I know I will make that by July 05.

I probably have to remind myself that the majority of the travelers do not see these promos on here.... but it is always a concern :)

I do hope that the new GOLDs like Hilton enough to travel more often there!
