We were planning to take our boys to Hawaii on a reward stay but I am seeing conflicting reports about this. Any other suggestions on great hotels to take the kids to and use points?

Do not see how you can go wrong with the Hilton Waikoloa Village. My three kids love it - we're planning our third trip! Do a search - tons of threads on the HWV.

How old are your boys? We have been to HHV (once) and Phoenix Squaw Peak (3 times) with the kids. We just returned from SP and the kids still love it. Something like 8 pools, tennis, decent spa, and good breakfast. They are gone virtually all day. Casitas are great and spacious with semi private pool areas. HHV is nice for the view and beach but a different vacation. Haven't been to HWV.
