Hilton HHonors - Will HH give Diamonds an award room at Hamptons when no normal HH inventory exists?

Trying to get a Hampton Inn for a couple weeks time and use HH points but sadly no inventory showing.

Does Diamond Desk allows Diamonds to secure inventory on lower price places like Hamptons?

I've never tried it with a Hampton, but the Diamond desk has found award rooms for me at a Hilton when no inventory was shown.

Yes. Applies to all HH properties, excluding special events.

Ive gotten them twice when there was no inventory left. Both at Opportunity Level places. At one I had to call the hotel and clear it all as it was for less than 24 hrs, the mgr said she had no problem even with less than 10 rooms left. Summerlin,NV a/k/a Las Vegas

Creating award availability where there is no availability- neither award nor for pay, has been one of the wonderful tasks the Diamond Desk has performed.

One small caveat: the award room must be for the Diamond member. I tried to take advantage of the Diamond guarantee for my daughter, and could not.

I've been able to use Diamond guarantee for Opportunity at Hampton with no problems in past. For an upcoming trip, we are taking MIL. I asked for two rooms; they said guarantee is good for only one room. Luckily, I set up account with my wife as joint account so she could get benefits while travelling on business. Now, we are able to get two rooms; one in each of our names.
