Hilton HHonors - How to get Gold Upgrade w/o Citibank?

Hi Gang:

I am currently HHonors Silver, looking for Gold and beyond. I will have a good number of stays this year, but want to "expedite" the process.... :p Need some tips!

I have seen some of the posts on the Citibank offer. I have an AmEx, anyone know of any offers like this? - related to credit card or even some promo codes?

There was a great offer about 3 years ago for 50K miles after 4 stays, and upgrade in status (can't remember the name/code). I was GOLD and then DIAMOND just like *that* with that offer.....excellent!

Go to the HHonors website. After you log on and come to the screen with your name, you will see on the right hand side offers scrolling down every few seconds. When it comes to "Your Hilton HHonors Platinum Credit Card from American Express has been upgraded" click on it. Then you will all the benefits of having the card including the new one: "Earn HHonors Gold VIP Status." Spend $20,000 or more annually on your Card per calendar year and receive a complimentary upgrade to HHonors Gold VIP status for a one year period....."
