Travel Technology - Turn off those nasty electronics-A Revolt

It is time to revolt against the growing list of technology you can't use during takeoff and landing.

Here is a fun and effective way to bring the message to the airlines that we want to work, listen, tune-out during takeoff and landing.

BEGINNING MAY 9TH, WE ALL PUSH OUR CALL BUTTONS WHEN THEY ANNOUNCE IT IS TIME TO TURN OFF ELECTRONICS. (We just want to ask the attenedent why I we can't wear headphones). It would be impressive watching all those hands go up at the same time.

It has become riduculous! It seems the only reason we are removing our headphones is to make the attendent feel better when giving the same speech we hear 5 times a month at least.

As for laptops, why the heck are we turning them off again? I can't think of any good reason. Can you? If I can't work for 30 min. prior to takeoff, and 20 min prior to landing, that is nearly an hour of my companies time wasted. At my billable amount, this amounts to $300 lost productivity. With connections this could amount to $1000 per day!

Join the revolution: Pass the word! Tell everyone you fly with. Lets see if we can pull it off!

On May 15th, let's meet at Delta WHQ at 3pm. We'll sneak in and at (precisely) 4pm flush all the toilets at once...nevermind.
