This is a "quickie" review.

I've had the Bose QC2's since they came out, I had bought them to replace the QC1's that I had for a few years. I rather like the QC2's due to their comfort level, but did not like the size in my laptop bag. This started me on a search for headphones that were : small, blocked noise well, and sounded good.

I ended up with a pair of UE10-Pro's from www.ultimateears.com, and they are the most amazing headphones I've heard yet. They take molds of your ears and create these earphones that go inside your ear. The sound blockage on them is at least an order of magnitude better then the QC2's and the sound quality is better then any speaker I have.

The only downside is the price. $920 bucks.

So get a set of the Shure E3s (~$120) and then go to your local audiologist and have a set of custom fit ear-seals made (The Shures conform to an industry standard format) for <$100 and you've got the same for somewhere around $200 and about a week's turnaround. Then again, the Shure's come with several ear-seals, one of which will suit you.
