It strikes me as unbelieveable that HP hasn't installed basic power ports even in F. The costs are can't be high.

Just one of the reasons I fly AA on transcons.

I have yet to see an empower on America West

Oh god please not Empower. Just regular 12V DC outlets will do fine.

All US airbus planes have empower in every seat C & F.

ANother Reason Hope Merger Goes Through

All US airbus planes have empower in every seat C & F.

In that case, I'd rather not have the power ports.

Do not know about you, but I would prefer the power... will make my flights must more productive!! Wish HP would add power either way!!

I don't really do any international travel so really haven't flown on a plane that has power to the seats. What is empower and why is it bad? I assume it has some odd connector that you need to buy an adapter for but for those of us that are ignorant of the power capabilities (Always fly HP) could someone explain? I would welcome power (adapter or otherwise) on the flights as I can't even get my two batteries to last the entire flight sometimes.

You don't need to do intl flying to see power outlets. AA has them on all of its planes.

Yes, empower is a different outlet type. AA has the 12V DC outlets which are the same as the cigarette lighter in your car. This makes it easy to use as many things (DVD players, TV's, etc) can use this outlet type. Empower would require another adapter.

Luckily I have an Igo Juice that can use either the 12V outlets or Empower.

Thanks for the info.

Yes I haven't had to fly anyone but HP so far so really don't see the inside of other airlines planes. I really wish they had them at least in F but oh well...

I have to admit I miss the power. I know AA is good about having them. UA has them in alot of planes in Business/First... HP does not seem to have any power in the seats.... That would really help now that they are pushing more east-west flights. @:-)
