Air New Zealand Air Points - A320 I & X availability

Hi guys,

Does anyone know how many I & X class seats are made available for redemption on the A320.

Have just booked my honeymoon in I class MEL-AKL-PPT in March 06.
All sectors are fine except MEL-AKL.

I can get there on the midday flight (744) but will miss my connection.

Looks like I may have to pay for the 9:00am flight to AKL

Also, any chance that because it's 11 months away more seats may come up?

Any help would be great!!

Welcome to FT Naggi :) and congrats on your nuptials.

The A320 has only 8 seats in business class so unless you are NZ Gold/Gold Elite it may be unlikely to get 2 award business seats.

I'm TG *G but I don't think that helps!

Even economy would be OK but there's nothing there!

I don't know if I should give up & pay or hold out because it's 11 months away!

Grab a $39-$69 sale fare when they're on sale with QF or DJ for a MEL-SYD and look at getting your reward from SYD as an open jaw. Bound to be at least X available on something ex SYD on the day you need.
Better than paying for a trans-Tas and better than a -24hr overnight transit in AKL.

Hey check the christchurch flights and a domestic to Auckland its often much easier to get a flight redemption to chch than akl..
