US Airways Dividend Miles (Pre-2005 America West merger) - Question about changing unrestircted F (F8F) tickets

I am not very familiar with the US rules on changing the unrestricted F tickets, so maybe someone more familiar with US will be able to help.
First, how far out can I move the date of the flight? Until the end of the schedule?

Can I change the routing, or do I have to take the most direct one? Can I change the routing to include more flights operated by a partner (UA) ?

How long before or after the ticket date can I change the ticket. Let's say I missed the flight for which I am ticketed. Can I call US afterwards and rebook it for a later date without any extra fees?

Finally, I know that the ticket will earn 150% EQM. How many award miles will I earn as a UA Prem Exec? 200% or 300% ?

Thanks

All of these questions are probably best answered by calling US Airways Reservations.

You need to know the exact fare basis to answer some of these questions. Can you post it?

If these are by any chance the mistake F fares to ART, LEB, etc. they can be changed without restriction...but I believe you'll have to pay the applicable fare difference, which will likely be a couple of thousand dollars.

The rules don't mention any change fees. It looks like an unrestricted F to me...

Change fee is the $100 "conveinence fee" to make a change. Difference in fare if you change cities etc always applies -- you get a $2 credit (or whatever the original fare was) towards whatever the new itinerary goes for.

If the traveler wants only to change dates, but not city pairs, why would a fare difference apply on an F fare, fully changeable?

I speculate any change before departure will trigger a refare at then current F fare.

Last July, when US had those unrestricted, refundable $49 transcon T fares, if you wanted to change the dates, there was no change fee but you had to pay the change in fare even where there was availability in T. I know it's not the same as the F8F, but it sounds like the policy would be the same.

Yes, if you try to change one of those F8F fares online, you are invited to pay the fare difference. I wonder though, if the same applies to changes done over the phone. I always thought that on pure date / time changes, the fare wouldn't be recalculated...

Think about it. If this were true, there would be one set of flights that everyone would book and then change the date/times to what they really need.

If I buy something that is cheap because it is in a low demand period I shouldn't be able to trade up for a more expensive identical item that is much more expensive during a high demand period - it just doesn't make sense.

It just appears that way because there is often no difference in fare if the bucket has inventory. This happens a lot when you have a pricier ticket because those buckets don't sell out very easily. But with a sale fare like this you can bet that won't be the case.

Alright, so if I understand this correctly, even there is inventory in the F bucket, my ticket would have to repriced to change the dates?
I guess I misunderstood just how flexible the flexible tickets are :(
