There seems to be a great deal of confusion from one Inter-conti to another about access to the Club Lounge. It has been my experience that Executive status in the 6 Cont. Club provides such access. And there has never been a question about it. But at the present in checking a couple of their hotels they seem to reneg--saying they will upgradde to a better room but no Club access. Supposedly this edict comes from the manager of each hotel--anyone have any experience with this problem? Who would you suggest one contact(above local hotel manager) for clarification? It seems a very foolish approach--do you think this is a Bass edict or just misunderstanding? Look forward to any impressions. Thanks

This probably should have been posted in the IC forum.
However, to answer your question, twice last year in teh 6 Continents magazine, there was a special update reminding everyone that the club lounge is ONLY for people on the club floor. I'm an IC Ambassador, and frequently get upgraded "beyond" the club floor. Usually they let me use it anyway. Otherwise, if I really want lounge access, I ask for a room "downgrade" to a club room which they usually accomodate.
