An interesting case. In the old days, most pax got a free flow of booze from some FA's to get them happy, much to my chargrin as the poor sod in front of/behind/next to the drunk dope. Luckily this is happening less often these days, largely due to the cutbacks of in-flight freebies.

ATLANTA - In Georgia, a bartender can be sued for serving alcohol to a noticeably drunk customer. The state's Supreme Court is considering whether the same rules apply to airlines - and if flight attendants must start monitoring plastered passengers.

I thought FAA regulations already prevented serving alcohol to a passenger that appears intoxicated. But that does not cover lawsuits like in "groundside" DWI cases.

And you can't have an FWI issue with a passenger. :)
