I was on SFO-PIT a few days ago, and the beverage cart as well as the trays they carried were all branded jetBlue. It was kinda funny watching a big jetBlue cart go down the aisle being pushed by US FAs.

I found this very interesting as B6 does not fly to SFO, or PIT. I believe the flight was then going on to Boston, so perhaps some equipment got mixed up at Logan.

Really? Wow. Maybe it was some sort of limited edition! Or maybe very old.

Regardless, it was there. :)

I guess they are using the same caterer as Jet Blue somewhere along the line. If US got Jet Blue's food it must have been like gourmet night.

Hmm I find that funny, They actually pride themselves on using tray only service because it clears up the aisles. Nonetheless, cool - Im flying US next week and love B6 lol

Or no-food night. Last time I heard, Jetblue doesn't serve meals. And doesn't normally use carts. Hmm...fishy.

Just because they don't use the carts in the aisles doesn't mean they don't have them on board.... catering I'm sure still loads sodas/snacks/whatever in the carts. Most efficient and fastest way of loading/offloading catering.

Actually Jax, they don't. JetBlue doesnt serve food which is perishable. Therefore, their catering is loaded on the plane via regular cardboard boxes. Sodas arrive on board in their cases as well and are immedialty placed in the onboard storage units.

The only thing I can think of that the OP might be referring to is a meal cart. We call them meal carts because they used to house our hot meals when we had them, but they hold all sorts of catering supplies. It could have been used to serve the Inflight Cafe meals out of on a SFO-PIT leg. Even when the carts are empty we are required to carry a full compliment of them for weight and balance reasons. Jet Blue probably carries the same type of cart that their supplies are kept in. I've never had a meal cart from a different airline, but we always seem to get coffee pots from other airlines. I assume it's from catering stations that handle several different airlines and they don't know one from another.
Our beverage carts never leave the airplane so I don't see how it could have been replaced with another airlines.

Possibly. I guess I should rephrase it: It was a cart that they pushed down the aisle from which they served possibly food, drink, or both, and it had jetBlue plastered on it.

So when can I look forward to LGB-Europe service on jetBlue's A330's?

I'm not trying to fuel speculation of any type, but there were about 4 non-rev (I think) standbys with JetBlue uniforms on my last flight into PIT. I thought it was just a courtesy between airlines that I hadn't seen utilized in a while.

We carry a lot of JetBlue commuters, especially on the shuttle.

Lots of JetBlue pilots are from PIT--whole slew of people with thousands of hours with an Airbus 32x type rating live there (and are without work).

Actually jetBlue does utilize catering carts in the forward A320 half galley and in the aft galley.

Just as an example:

You can see the carts up on the bottom in the front galley.

Interesting choice of Google text ads at the bottom of that link ;)
